Watch the latest challenging game from Team Ninja.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is a third-person action RPG on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on Steam and Windows. It’s also available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers on consoles and PC. The game released on Friday for $59.99.

Developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo, the story takes place during the Three Kingdoms era of China in A.D. 184. The gameplay is focused on challenging combat. The game features a morale system, which is a ranking of the player’s and enemy’s power that will grow or decrease based on victory in combat. There’s loot to discover along with equipment to customize the character and their stats. The game also features magical attacks and other supernatural elements in the storyline together with the historical setting.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has a cooperative multiplayer component with up to three players, where people can join a game together to help make progress in the chapters. In another mode, players can attack real people by invading their game and hunting down the host with the help of the enemies in the stage. Wo Long doesn’t feature cross-play but the multiplayer is platform-specific, so PS5 owners can play with those on PS4.

Team Ninja is known for its work on the Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden and Nioh franchises. Masaaki Yamagiwa is one of the game’s producers and directors. Before joining Team Ninja in 2021, Yamagiwa was also one of the lead producers on FromSoftware’s Bloodborne (2015) for the PS4 while he worked for the former Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio. Fumihiko Yasuda is the game’s other producer, who is Team Ninja’s president and director of the Nioh series.

A demo is available of the first two stages and player progress can be transferred to the full game.
