Axiom Verge 2: Extended Gameplay

Axiom Verge 2 was made by Thomas Happ Games, which is basically just independent developer Tom Happ doing everything in the project. It first launched for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Epic Games Store in August 2021. The PS5 and Steam versions released in August 2022.
The original game first released in March 2015 on the PS4. The sequel features a different art style, characters, environments and storyline. The gameplay is still in the “Metroidvania” style but Axiom Verge 2 is more designed around melee combat than the original game.
Indra Chaudhari is now the main character, a billionaire and business conglomerate owner who bought another corporation that has a research base in Antarctica. After acquiring the company, Indra gets a mysterious message to go find her missing daughter there. There are different dimensions in the game, many enemy types, several powers to obtain and more of a focus on exploration.
Axiom Verge 2 is currently one of the free games offered to PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5 and PS4 for the rest of January. It costs $19.99 to own on all platforms.
