Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End faces another delay.

Originally scheduled to release on March 18, 2016 after being delayed from a 2015 launch window, Uncharted 4 will now release for the PlayStation 4 on April 26 in North America, April 27 across Europe and April 29 in the United Kingdom.

Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, the creative directors on Uncharted 4, cited similar reasons as the game’s previous delay for pushing the new launch date into April. In a post on the PlayStation Blog on Wednesday, the two stated Naughty Dog needed more time to finalize certain aspects of Uncharted 4 in order to meet the studio’s vision for the franchise’s last game.

“However, as we approached our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line,” they said in a joint statement.

Naughty Dog intends to continue polishing A Thief’s End up to its submission date for retail disc manufacturing, stating the game is the largest Uncharted release in the franchise and this second delay will help close out the game’s development in a way the studio envisions.

“Pushing the date is not an easy choice, and we wouldn’t do it if we didn’t feel in our hearts it’s the best course of action for the game,” they said. “To you, our loyal fans, we hope you’ll accept our sincere apology.”

With the delay A Thief’s End is now releasing the same week as the Ratchet & Clank movie, with the PS4-exclusive game based on the film scheduled to release on April 12. Dark Souls III by FromSoftware is also releasing the same month, with an April 12 launch date. Mafia III might also be launching the same day as Uncharted 4, with retailers like GameStop and Amazon listing that date for its release.

At the PlayStation Experience conference on Dec. 5, new game footage was revealed showing Uncharted 4 will have dialogue options in certain scenes.

The game recently underwent a multplayer beta earlier this month for owners of the Nathan Drake Collection.

Uncharted 4 is intended to be the last adventure of Nathan Drake, who started out in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune on the PlayStation 3 in November 2007. Set three years after the events of Drake’s Deception (2011), Drake is now retired from treasure hunting, attempting to live a normal life. In A Thief’s End, Drake reunites with his brother Sam after years of believing he was dead. The two go on one last quest together to find Libertalia, a lost pirate colony filled with riches.

A Thief’s End was first officially revealed during Sony’s E3 conference in June 2014 with a 2015 release date.
