Two classic adventure games from the ’90s are being revived for a new generation.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered will release on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PC and Mac next March, Double Fine Productions announced. Tim Schafer, founder of Double Fine, revealed the adventure game’s latest footage at the PlayStation Experience conference in San Francisco, California on Saturday.

Schafer also announced that Full Throttle Remastered would be releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Vita. The game will also arrive on PC, launching on all announced platforms in 2017, according to the developer’s website.

The remastered version of Full Throttle will have many of the same features as Day of the Tentacle’s, like high-resolution backgrounds drawn by hand, improved audio, updated animations and bonus content. No gameplay footage or screenshots were shown.

The classic 1995 adventure game was developed for computer platforms by a team at the former LucasArts studio, a division of LucasFilm, with Schafer as the game’s creator. Full Throttle’s box dubbed the game, “A heavy metal adventure by Tim Schafer.”

It features a story about a motorcycle gang run by a man named Ben in the year 2040, set in a dystopian future where hovercrafts are replacing bikes. Ben and his gang the Polecats fight back against Adrian Ripburger, the evil vice president of Corley Motors, and his plan to use the last remaining domestic motorcycle manufacturing company to produce hovercraft minivans. Mark Hamill voices Ripburger’s character, who would go on to play The Joker in the Batman: Arkham franchise. Full Throttle is also known for its heavy metal soundtrack.

The remastered version of Day of the Tentacle will feature all-new higher resolution, hand-drawn visuals. The game will come with improved and remastered audio across music, sound effects and dialogue. The original version will also be included in the release. An optional new user interface will be added to Day of the Tentacle Remastered. A combination of the new audio, visual and gameplay elements can be matched together with the originals when playing the story. It will also feature a concept art browser as well as commentary from several of the original developers like Schafer, Larry Ahern, Peter McConnell and Dave Grossman, who was a co-lead on the game. The remaster will support both Cross-Buy and Cross-Save features between PS4 and Vita.

Day of the Tentacle is a sequel to Maniac Mansion, an adventure game created by Ron Gilbert and Gary Winick in 1987 for computers. First released in 1993 and developed by LucasArts, the game’s story is about Dr. Fred Edison and his Purple Tentacle, a monster he created that mutated after drinking a toxic runoff in a nearby river. Purple Tentacle gains massive intelligence from the mutation and plans on taking over the world. A group of three teenagers explores the mad scientist’s mansion to stop the Purple Tentacle, with gameplay featuring time travel elements to solve puzzles and advance through the story.

Schafer worked as a director on the game while at LucasArts, with it being the first time he was the co-lead on a project. Day of the Tentacle is the second classic game being brought back from Schafer’s history with support from Sony and Disney. Grim Fandango (1998) was the first game remastered in this trilogy restoration project, releasing back in January. Schafer’s studio Double Fine Productions is developing all the remasters. He founded the company in 2000 after leaving LucasArts.

Day of the Tentacle Remastered was first announced at last year’s PlayStation Experience in December. LucasArts ceased game development in 2013 after George Lucas sold LucasFilm to The Walt Disney Company in October 2012 for $4.05 billion. An unofficial remastered version was near completion at LucasArts in its later years but was never approved by company executives and eventually abandoned.

Schafer and Double Fine also announced Psychonauts 2 on Thursday during The Game Awards, a sequel to its 2005 platformer. The studio is using its own crowdfunding platform Fig to raise $3.3 million for the game’s development. There will also be a virtual reality game for PlayStation VR called Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin. It’s a spin-off that takes place before the events in the sequel, which Schafer revealed during the PlayStation Experience conference.
