Created solely by Tom Happ, an independent developer and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, Axiom Verge released March 31 on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4.
Happ began development of Axiom Verge in March 2010, designing all aspects of the game himself.
This “Metroidvania” style side-scrolling platformer is set on the alien planet Sudra. Playing as Trace, a scientist who awakens after a serious accident from an experiment gone wrong, you set out to discover how you arrived on Sudra and the mysteries behind the strange planet.
PlayStation Vita and PC versions of the game will release later this year. The game costs 19.99 but is discounted at $17.99 for PlayStation Plus members during its launch week. Axiom Verge is also Cross-Buy with the Vita version.
