NIS America confirmed that Disgaea 5 will be localized for a western release in North America and Europe next year.

The game will be called Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance when it releases in fall 2015 across those territories, the publisher revealed on Tuesday. Developed by Nippon Ichi Software, Alliance of Vengeance will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 at retail and as a digital download.

The game’s protagonist is Killia, a young demon set on getting revenge against the Void Dark, an Overlord who wants to enslave many Netherworlds.

A new combat feature for the series called Alliance Attacks are introduced in Disgaea 5. These happen when characters are properly aligned in battle. Depending on the relationship between the characters, they can combine their skill sets for a special attack. A new revenge mode gives party members increased stats when other characters take too much damage in battle.

New character classes for the franchise brought with Disgaea 5 include a dark knight, maid and fairy. More than 40 different characters and classes can be selected to create a party for battles in Disgaea 5. The game will feature 100 on-screen characters on the PS4, a big increase over the PlayStation 3 games of the series.

Disgaea 5 is set to release in Japan on March 26, 2015.

Alliance of Vengeance is the sixth home console game for the strategy RPG franchise, which started on the PlayStation 2 in 2003 with Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.
