Come see a surprise release from the first day of E3.
Both revealed and launched during Sony’s E3 conference on Monday, Entwined was created by the company’s new studio Pixelopus. Pixelopus is a small team made up of graduate students who worked with Sony on their first project.
The game is available on the PlayStation 4 for $9.99. Dominic Robilliard, Pixelopus’ creative director, said it will also release for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in a month. Entwined is included in Sony’s Cross-Buy promotion, so PS4 owners will also have those versions.
Entwined is built around a story from Chinese mythology, where a fish and a bird are in love but can’t be together. This ties in to the game’s core gameplay mechanic as the player controls both the fish and bird with each analog stick, moving them through different shapes. After enough successes they will transform together into a dragon.
