Earthworm Jim HD Trailer
Earthworm Jim HD, the remake soon heading to the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade, gets some new gameplay footage.
According to an interview done at the 8th-Circuit with Anne-Joelle Casenaz of Gameloft, Earthworm Jim HD is scheduled to release onto the XBLA in June and a month later on PSN. An official date and price hasn’t been confirmed.
I know it’s only a trailer and there’s no major groundbreaking news here, but for old school lovers this is cool. I wish more old games would get this treatment.
They just don’t make games like this anymore. That makes me sad. It’s been almost 16 years since the original released for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. Crazy isn’t it?
Earthworm Jim was one of my favorite games back in the day as a lil’ gamer. I can’t recall if I ever beat it, so this re-release is a great time to make it happen.
With Earthworm Jim HD having four player co-op, new levels, and achievements/trophies, retro gamers should keep an eye on this one. Younger gamers who weren’t old enough to be around for the 16-bit days are in for a treat as well.
